Basics

Throat cancer is any cancer that forms in the throat. The throat, also called the pharynx, is a 5-inch-long tube that runs from your nose to your neck. The larynx (voice box) and pharynx are the two main places throat cancer forms. Throat cancer is a type of head and neck cancer, which includes cancer of the mouth, tonsils, nose, sinuses, salivary glands and neck lymph nodes.

Risk factors of throat cancer

The exact cause of throat cancer is unknown, although tobacco products are thought to play a significant role in about 80 per cent of cases. Risk factors may include:

  • smoking
  • regular and heavy consumption of alcohol
  • chronic goitre (enlargement of the thyroid gland)
  • radiation exposure
  • family history of cancer (a genetic predisposition).

Thyroid cancer is a form of cancer that develops from the tissues of the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is located in the front of the throat, below the thyroid cartilage (also known as the Adam’s apple). The thyroid gland produces several important hormones, including the thyroid hormone, which is involved in controlling body temperature, weight, energy level and heart rate. The thyroid gland also produces calcitonin, which helps the body use calcium.

Thyroid cancer risk factors

GENERAL

  • Gender and age: Thyroid cancers occur approximately three times more frequently in women than men, although the reason for this difference is unknown. Women also tend to develop these cancers at an earlier age (40s to 50s) than men (60s to 70s).

GENETICS

  • Hereditary conditions: Certain inherited genetic abnormalities have been associated with the development of different types of thyroid cancer:
    • Inherited mutations in a gene called RET have been associated with the development of medullary thyroid cancers, and account for approximately one out of four cases. This condition is known as familial medullary thyroid cancer (FMTC). If other endocrine glands are also involved, the disease is then called multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN 2). Individuals with this genetic mutation often develop FMTC during childhood or early adulthood.
    • It is possible to detect many of the DNA mutations associated with FMTC using a simple blood test and this may be recommended for individuals who have a family history. Genetic counseling can help you and your family decide if a DNA test is appropriate. Currently, some doctors recommend removing the thyroid gland in individuals who have inherited the RET genetic mutation.
    • Other inherited genetic conditions, such as familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), Gardner syndrome, Cowden disease and Carney complex type I, are considered risk factors for thyroid cancer, particularly papillary and follicular thyroid cancers.
    • Even if no known inherited syndrome has been identified, thyroid cancer in a first-degree relative, such as a parent or sibling, raises your risk of developing thyroid cancer.

LIFESTYLE

  • Low-iodine diet: A diet that contains very little iodine has been associated with an increased risk of follicular thyroid cancers. This may explain why these cancers are seen less frequently in the United States, where iodine is added to salt and other foods. Individuals who do not get enough iodine in their diets may also be at increased risk for papillary cancers if they are exposed to radioactivity.

PREVIOUS TREATMENTS

  • Radiation exposure: Being exposed to radiation, including the kind used for certain medical treatments, as well as fallout from nuclear weapons or power plant accidents, can increase a person’s thyroid cancer risk. In particular, childhood exposure carries a greater risk of later developing thyroid cancer than exposure as an adult.

Esophageal cancer occurs when the tissue that lines the esophagus becomes malignant. The esophagus is the tube that connects the throat to the stomach, allowing food to pass.

Laryngeal cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the larynx. Use of tobacco products and drinking too much alcohol can affect the risk of laryngeal cancer. Signs and symptoms of laryngeal cancer include a sore throat and ear pain.

Below you will find alternative and natural treatment perspective for Throat, Thyroid, Esophagus, Larynx, Neck deformity.

2. MaitakeHen of the Woods, or Sheepshead Mushroom (Grifola frondosa) Hui Shu Hua
Maitake  protects cells with its antioxidant properties and decreases the inflammatory factor COX2 enzyme so common in cancer physiology. Maitake has anti-metastatic properties inhibiting the proliferation and spread of cancer. The most medicinally active of all common wild mushrooms, Maitake has well-demonstrated immuno-boosting and anti-microbial (anti-bacterial and anti-viral) properties, as well as anti-tumor activity against

  • breast,
  • colorectal,
  • liver
  • lung and prostate cancers
  • leukemia.

As if that weren’t enough, it also shows considerable potential as an antihypertensive, as a blood-sugar moderator, and as a cholesterol reducer. Additionally, it is reputed as being beneficial for the lungs and respiratory system, as a stress reducer, and even as an anti-Candidiasis (yeast infection) agent.

Another mushroom popular in China for both medicinal and culinary purposes, T. fuciformis is often used in soups with either beans or apples and figs.

Tricholoma (Matsutake)
A form of the tricholoma mushroom is the matsutake. This is a meaty mushroom with a zesty flavor that lends itself well to steaming or grilling, and it pairs nicely with chicken or many kinds of fish.

Modern medicine found these mushrooms to be excellent sources of proteins, vitamins and minerals. They are full of vitamins A, B6, C and also thiamine, niacin and riboflavin and also contain plenty of minerals such as: potassium, sodium, iron, copper, calcium and phosphorus. Copper is important for many different biochemical reactions in the body and also for the production of red blood cells, which makes these mushrooms valuable. Potassium found in high amounts in matsutake mushrooms is responsible for the healthy heart and muscles and provide the fluid balance in the body.

These mushrooms are completely without cholesterol and contain just traces of fat, and because of that they are considered to be very healthy.

Matsutake mushrooms are proven to be effective fighting different cancers. Many medications are used to treat cancerous changes in the body but all of them affect the healthy tissue to some extent, causing serious side effects. If these anti-cancer medications kill cancer cells they will most certainly kill some of the healthy cells in the body, because the drugs can’t differentiate between healthy and cancer cells.  Matsutake mushrooms are believed to be a natural anti-cancer remedy, that doesn’t have unwanted side effects.

T. albuminosus
Another meaty-flavored mushroom, T. albuminosus can be consumed without cooking. Whether eaten cooked or raw, it has a crunchy texture and may be boiled, grilled, steamed, or added to soup.

L. rhinocerotis
Called the tiger milk mushroom, L. rhinocerotis is closely related to reishi mushrooms. It is used in medicinal practice in Malaysia and is often sliced and boiled before consumption.

Pleurotus
Also known as the oyster mushroom, this is one of the more common varieties on this list. Pleurotus is used in several Asian cuisines as a stand-alone dish or in soups and stir-fry meals.

Many of the positive health effects associated with these types of mushrooms are due to the presence of bio-chemicals called polysaccharides.

Did you know human DNA is closer to mushroom DNA than to plants’? So, we absorb, heal, regenerate our cells and grow much faster consuming mushrooms than any plants. And there’s a reason for the wide variety of mushrooms and fungi available to us – we need to thrive!

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) Ling Zhi, Mannentake, “The Mushroom of Immortality

The best  longevity tonics of Chinese Medicine is made of Reishi mushrooms

There are three specific compounds that are essential to Reishi’s powerful antioxidant and antiaging effects:

  1. Polysaccharides have anticancer effects based on their ability to prevent abnormal blood vessel formation, and to boost immune system function.40,42
  2. Triterpenes protect the liver, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, prevent platelet clumping that leads to heart attack and stroke, fight allergic responses triggered by histamine, and also possess anticancer activity.42
  3. Ganoderma lucidum peptide is a unique protein that has remarkably potent antioxidant characteristics that are still being unraveled.43

But what makes Reishi mushroom beneficial to so many varied aspects of your health is its actions on many different targets in your body. The actions triggered by Reishi mushrooms produce important changes that may contribute to their promotion of longevity. Reishi extracts are known to:

  • Protect cellular DNA from oxidant damage that causes aging and cancer
  • Protect mitochondrial DNA and the mitochondria themselves from oxidant damage that weakens their energy-producing abilities and makes them inefficient, another major cause of aging.
  • Increase levels and activity of a large suite of natural intracellular antioxidant molecules, resulting in reduced oxidation of cell membranes and organelles that lead to aging and its related diseases
  • Protect kidney tubule cells from oxidant damage that leads to kidney failure.49
  • Increase expression of a key longevity gene and promote an increased life span

Several studies have shown that Reishi is one of the most powerful mushrooms with regard to antioxidant characteristics. Reishi mushrooms boost total antioxidant capacity, an important measure of the vigor with which they fight oxidant damage.

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes)  Black Forest Tree Mushroom or Xiang Gu (Fragrant Mushroom)

Shiitake mushrooms contain the antioxidant L-ergothioneine, which helps prevent cell breakdown and helps exfoliate the skin. They enhance the immune system, are anti-inflammatory, and have antioxidant, antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Shiitake’s anti-inflammatory properties help improve vitality and also encourage faster skin renewal and increase skin elasticity.

Shiitake mushrooms, as a rich source of kojic acid, are used to brighten the skin, and fade sunspots and acne scars.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis) Dong Chong Xia Cao

Considered an energizing adaptogen (similar to other superfood herbs like maca or cocoa), cordyceps can help fight fatigue, treat muscle aches and prevent weakness.

Cordycept can improve physical abilities, endurance and stamina partially because they boost the body’s supply of ATP, one of the primary sources of energy during exercises. Cordyceps contain adenosine, a type of nucleic acid that is a component needed to make ATP. It is found that higher production of ATP helped athletes keep up with intense workouts and extend the length of time they could stay active at a high level.

Birch Polypore (Piptoporus betulinus)  – Anti-aging, Anti-melanoma agent

Enokitake (Flammulina vilutipes)  Anti-aging, Helps you lose body fat in your gut, Prevent constipation and normalize bowel movements, Promote metabolism

Zhu Ling (Polyporus umbellatus) – anti-viral, anti-aging, fights osteoporosis and bone loss, chronic bouts of diarrhea, bodybuilding, improve strength, lose extra fat, and build muscle. Contain Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) which is a hormone that is developed in the adrenal gland

e the fluid balance in the body.

Research has found that a chemical found in some mushrooms improves grey matter in the brain

Regular consumption of certain types of mushrooms may be associated with brain changes that reduce the risk of developing dementia. After analyzing different types of mushrooms, is determined that they promoted the increased production of nerve growth factor in the brain, which contributes to the formation of new neurons in the gray matter, an important factor in our ability to retain and retrieve memories.

What kinds of mushrooms were most beneficial? Unfortunately, not the white or button types that many of us include on salads or add to pizza. But several—including lion’s mane and reishi—were shown to actually improve cognitive functioning. And Cordyceps, which Jon Barron uses in his immune boosting formula, demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects in the brain, possibly enough to aid in staving off memory loss.

Calcium D-Glucarate

Your liver works hard for you. Even if you don’t drink alcohol or work amongst harsh chemicals, the toxins you inadvertently breathe, eat, drink, and even slather on your skin are a burden on your liver and this can start to take its toll on your energy and performance over time. Environmental toxins can even mess with your hormone balance and make it hard for you to lose fat.

Your liver is always filtering toxins – that’s its job. But there are some things you can do to support this process. Which brings me to one of my favorite, most targeted supplements for everyday detox: calcium-d-glucarate.

I first started taking calcium-d-glucarate (CDG) as a way to ensure my high protein diet didn’t produce excess ammonia. As a former 300 pounder who was pre-diabetic and born with only 1 kidney, I kind of like the one I have and excess ammonia can be a burden on the kidneys. But CDG has other health benefits.

It can decrease your LDL cholesterol, assist in protein digestion, and remove toxins and excess estrogen. Excess estrogen is a problem for everyone, but an even bigger problem for obese (or formerly obese) people.

To understand why CDG works, you have to understand a little biochemistry.

How the body gets rid of toxins

One of the ways the body gets rid of toxins is through a process called conjugation. During conjugation, toxins are packaged into water soluble compounds called glucuronides. Glucuronides are meant to pass through the liver, to the bile, then to the gut where they are excreted. However, high levels of an enzyme called beta-glucuronide can inhibit this process. This enzyme separates toxins from their conjugate bond and allows them to be reabsorbed. This allows toxins to keep circulating in the body where they make you fat, tired, and weak.

Calcium-d-glucarate prevents beta-glucuronide from disturbing this process.  It keeps the toxins bound inside a glucuronide which is then removed from the body.  Toxins are most damaging in their free form, which is why you want them to be bound (conjugated) and released from the body.  Calcium-d-glucarate inhibits beta-glucuronidase which allows toxins to be removed.

Hello calcium-d-glucarate Image result for calcium d glucarate and your body

Calcium-d-Glucarate (CDG) is a natural substance produced by all mammals, including humans. Small amounts are also found in fruits and vegetables. Early humans were able to get enough calcium-d-glucarate from their own production since they ate relatively low amounts of toxins and lived in a clean environment. As toxin exposure has increased, humans need more calcium-d-glucarate to help excrete the extra toxins.

There is no *technical* deficiency of calcium-d-glucarate because it is not essential. However, humans produce small amounts, so it’s easy to develop low levels.

Here are 4 reasons calcium-d-glucarate is a seriously useful supplement.

1. Liver detox

When calcium-d-glucarate is taken orally, it’s metabolized into glucaric acid.  This is the active form of calcium-d-glucarate and the one produced naturally by the body.  Glucaric acid is not available as a supplement by itself which is why you have to buy calcium-d-glucarate.  Another benefit of CDG over glucaric acid is a longer detox period.  CDG detoxes the liver for five hours instead of one.

Glucaric acid binds to toxins in the stomach which are then removed in the urine.  Glucaric acid is also circulated around the body where it performs the same function – scavenging and releasing toxins.  Removing toxins from the liver will increase liver function and promote a healthy metabolism.  It will also allow your liver to flush out other toxins that would otherwise cause problems.

2. Removing excess estrogen

High levels of beta-glucuronide increase the number of estrogen receptors. This means estrogen that would have been excreted is now able to bind to more receptors. This can cause increased tissue growth, inability to lose fat, and even man boobs.

Estrogen dominance is one of the leading causes of infertility, mood imbalances, and other health problems in women.  One of the most common treatments for high estrogen levels in a drug called tamoxifen. Tamoxifen has numerous side effects including stroke, blood clots, uterine cancer, and cataracts.

New research shows that CDG could be just as effective as Tamoxifen in treating estrogen dominance.  CDG allows excess estrogen to be passed out of the body.  A review in 2003 said calcium-d-glucarate could be as effective in preventing cancer as Tamoxifen.

In one study, calcium-d-glucarate was able to reduce the number of estrogen receptors by 48 percent.  It’s also been shown to lower serum estrogen levels by 23 percent.

High estrogen is also a problem for men.  Whether your a man or woman, calcium-d-glucarate will help maintain proper hormone balance.

3. Decrease LDL cholesterol

Despite the numerous health effects of a paleo diet, one of the mysterious negative effects seems to be elevated LDL cholesterol.  Paul Jaminet wrote an excellent poston this topic where numerous people said they experienced high LDL levels.

Not only is total cholesterol increased, but it’s LDL cholesterol.  This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as long as it’s type-A LDL (large, puffy, non-atherogenic).  However, since being Bulletproof means doing everything possible to ensure optimal health, this is something that needs to be dealt with.  High LDL isn’t necessarily the problem.  It’s a sign of tissue damage or toxins which is the problem.

When cells are stressed or damaged, they need cholesterol for repair.  As Dr. Jaminet also pointed out, high LDL levels are needed to repair damaged tissue.

The body sends LDL molecules to supply various parts of the body with cholesterol and fats.  Limited blood flow is one form of stress.  Calcium-d-glucarate is metabolized into glucaric salts.  Glucaric salts reduces beta-glucuronidase production by gut bacteria.  Reducing beta-glucuronidase enhances enterohepatic (liver) circulation which reduces cholesterol synthesis.  This causes lower cholesterol levels.

In rats, CDG lowers total cholesterol by 12-15 percent, and LDL cholesterol by 30-35 percent.  In humans, CDG lowers cholesterol by 12 percent, and LDL cholesterol by 28 percent.  It can also lower triglycerides up to 43 percent.

CDG is not arbitrarily playing with cholesterol numbers like statins.  It decreases stress on the liver which lowers your need for cholesterol, especially LDL cholesterol.

4. Great for high protein diets

Humans are meant to eat large amounts of protein and fat. Our livers and kidney efficiently process proteins and are able to remove harmful byproducts like ammonia.  However, humans can only handle so many toxins.  The human body is involved fending off xenoestrogens, air pollutants, chronic infections, and mycotoxins.  This leaves very little room for dealing with the metabolites of protein.  Our modern world is so polluted, that humans don’t always have the necessary means to fend off natural byproducts of a healthy metabolism.  If you’re consuming a high protein diet (25-35 percent), you should consider supplementing with calcium-d-glucarate.

Dosage and possible side effects

Recommended dose: A normal detox dose is 500-1000 mg. People with high estrogen may benefit from taking as much as 3000-4500 mg a day – ask your doctor before adding any supplement to your regimen.

CDG can interact with alcohol and some drugs that act on the liver, like statins. WebMD has the full list of possible interactions listed here.

Time taken: Doesn’t really matter.

Interactions:

Medications changed by the liver may interact with CDG

Some of these medications changed by the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol, others), atorvastatin (Lipitor), diazepam (Valium), digoxin, entacapone (Comtan), estrogen, irinotecan (Camptosar), lamotrigine (Lamictal), lorazepam (Ativan), lovastatin (Mevacor), meprobamate, morphine, oxazepam (Serax), and others.

By taking this one supplement, you can remove toxins, ensure healthy liver function, and lower your LDL and total cholesterol.  Calcium-d-glucarate is one of the safest, most effective biohacks available.

Overview

Iron deficiency anemia is a common type of anemia — a condition in which blood lacks adequate healthy red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the body’s tissues.

As the name implies, iron deficiency anemia is due to insufficient iron. Without enough iron, your body can’t produce enough of a substance in red blood cells that enables them to carry oxygen (hemoglobin). As a result, iron deficiency anemia may leave you tired and short of breath.

Slow, chronic blood loss within the body can cause iron deficiency anemia — such as from

  • Peptic ulcer
  • Hiatal hernia
  • Colon polyp
  • Colorectal cancer
  • Regular use of some over-the-counter pain relievers, especially aspirin.
  • Lack of iron in your diet.
  • Post pregnancy condition (anemia after childbirth)

You can usually correct iron deficiency anemia with iron supplementation. Sometimes additional tests or treatments for iron deficiency anemia are necessary, especially if your doctor suspects that you’re bleeding internally.

Symptoms

Initially, iron deficiency anemia can be so mild that it goes unnoticed. But as the body becomes more deficient in iron and anemia worsens, the signs and symptoms intensify.

Iron deficiency anemia signs and symptoms may include:

  • Extreme fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Pale skin
  • Chest pain, fast heartbeat or shortness of breath
  • Headache, dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Inflammation or soreness of your tongue
  • Brittle nails
  • Unusual cravings for non-nutritive substances, such as ice, dirt or starch
  • Poor appetite, especially in infants and children with iron deficiency anemia

Time to see your doctor

If you or your child develops signs and symptoms that suggest iron deficiency anemia, see your doctor. Iron deficiency anemia isn’t something to self-diagnose or treat. So see your doctor for a diagnosis rather than taking iron supplements on your own. Overloading the body with iron can be dangerous because excess iron accumulation can damage your liver and cause other complications.

Causes

Iron deficiency anemia occurs when your body doesn’t have enough iron to produce hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is the part of red blood cells that gives blood its red color and enables the red blood cells to carry oxygenated blood throughout your body.

If you aren’t consuming enough iron, or if you’re losing too much iron, your body can’t produce enough hemoglobin, and iron deficiency anemia will eventually develop.

Causes of iron deficiency anemia include:

  • Blood loss. Blood contains iron within red blood cells. So if you lose blood, you lose some iron. Women with heavy periods are at risk of iron deficiency anemia because they lose blood during menstruation. Slow, chronic blood loss within the body — such as from a peptic ulcer, a hiatal hernia, a colon polyp or colorectal cancer — can cause iron deficiency anemia. Gastrointestinal bleeding can result from regular use of some over-the-counter pain relievers, especially aspirin.
  • A lack of iron in your diet. Your body regularly gets iron from the foods you eat. If you consume too little iron, over time your body can become iron deficient. Examples of iron-rich foods include meat, eggs, leafy green vegetables and iron-fortified foods. For proper growth and development, infants and children need iron from their diets, too.
  • An inability to absorb iron. Iron from food is absorbed into your bloodstream in your small intestine. An intestinal disorder, such as celiac disease, which affects your intestine’s ability to absorb nutrients from digested food, can lead to iron deficiency anemia. If part of your small intestine has been bypassed or removed surgically, that may affect your ability to absorb iron and other nutrients.
  • Pregnancy. Without iron supplementation, iron deficiency anemia occurs in many pregnant women because their iron stores need to serve their own increased blood volume as well as be a source of hemoglobin for the growing fetus.

Risk factors

These groups of people may have an increased risk of iron deficiency anemia:

  • Women. Because women lose blood during menstruation, women in general are at greater risk of iron deficiency anemia.
  • Infants and children. Infants, especially those who were low birth weight or born prematurely, who don’t get enough iron from breast milk or formula may be at risk of iron deficiency. Children need extra iron during growth spurts. If your child isn’t eating a healthy, varied diet, he or she may be at risk of anemia.
  • Vegetarians. People who don’t eat meat may have a greater risk of iron deficiency anemia if they don’t eat other iron-rich foods.
  • Frequent blood donors. People who routinely donate blood may have an increased risk of iron deficiency anemia since blood donation can deplete iron stores. Low hemoglobin related to blood donation may be a temporary problem remedied by eating more iron-rich foods. If you’re told that you can’t donate blood because of low hemoglobin, ask your doctor whether you should be concerned.

Complications

Mild iron deficiency anemia usually doesn’t cause complications. However, left untreated, iron deficiency anemia can become severe and lead to health problems, including the following:

  • Heart problems. Iron deficiency anemia may lead to a rapid or irregular heartbeat. Your heart must pump more blood to compensate for the lack of oxygen carried in your blood when you’re anemic. This can lead to an enlarged heart or heart failure.
  • Problems during pregnancy. In pregnant women, severe iron deficiency anemia has been linked to premature births and low birth weight babies. But the condition is preventable in pregnant women who receive iron supplements as part of their prenatal care.
  • Growth problems. In infants and children, severe iron deficiency can lead to anemia as well as delayed growth and development. Additionally, iron deficiency anemia is associated with an increased susceptibility to infections.

Prevention

Choose iron-rich foods.

  • Red meat, pork and poultry, meat liver
  • Seafood
  • Beans, nuts, seeds
  • Dark green leafy vegetables
  • spinach
  • kale
  • collard greens
  • dandelion greens
  • Swiss chard
  • Dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots
  • Iron-fortified cereals, breads and pastas, rice
  • Colloidal Copper
  • Peas
  • Phytoplankton

NOTE: Make your dietary plan according your Blood and Geno type

Your body absorbs more iron from meat than it does from other sources. If you choose to not eat meat, you may need to increase your intake of iron-rich, plant-based foods to absorb the same amount of iron as does someone who eats meat.

  • Vegans, vegetarians, and the elderly
    • Vitamin B12, found mainly in animal products such as dairy and meat, is vital for proper brain function and creating red blood cells. Deficiency can result in damage, anemia, and heart disease. Your doctor can test your blood to recommend the proper dose.
  • Pregnant women
    •  Your body uses iron to produce extra blood for the baby during pregnancy. Getting enough iron can help prevent iron-deficiency anemia. Doctors routinely prescribe folic acid supplements in the form of standard prenatal vitamins to pregnant women.
  • Breastfeeding women
    • Calcium and Vitamin D are essential for decreasing infant bone loss and maintaining healthy bones. They can also increase the chances of an uncomplicated pregnancy.
  • Women of childbearing age
    •  Folic acid reduces the risks of certain types of congenital disabilities and can also decrease the likelihood of developing high blood pressure. One of the known causes of anemia in women is folic acid deficiency.

Choose foods containing vitamin C to enhance iron absorption

You can enhance your body’s absorption of iron by drinking citrus juice or eating other foods rich in vitamin C at the same time that you eat high-iron foods. Vitamin C in citrus juices, like orange juice, helps your body to better absorb dietary iron.

Vitamin C is also found in:

  • Broccoli
  • Grapefruit
  • Kiwi
  • Leafy greens
  • Melons
  • Oranges
  • Peppers
  • Strawberries
  • Tangerines
  • Tomatoes

Preventing iron deficiency anemia in infants

To prevent iron deficiency anemia in infants, feed your baby breast milk or iron-fortified formula for the first year. Cow’s milk isn’t a good source of iron for babies and isn’t recommended for infants under 1 year. After age 6 months, start feeding your baby iron-fortified cereals or pureed meats at least twice a day to boost iron intake. After one year, be sure children don’t drink more than 20 ounces (591 milliliters) of milk a day. Too much milk often takes the place of other foods, including those that are rich in iron.

Brain Health – Ways To Beat Deformity!

Basic symptoms

The symptoms of a malignant brain tumor depend on how big it is and where it is in the brain.

Common symptoms include:

  • severe, persistent headaches
  • seizures (fits)
  • persistent nausea, vomiting and drowsiness
  • mental or behavioural changes, such as memory problems or changes in personality
  • progressive weakness or paralysis on one side of the body, vision problems, or speech problems

Symptoms caused by the position of the abnormality

Different areas of the brain control different functions, so the symptoms caused by a brain tumor will depend on where the tumor is located. For example, a tumor affecting:

  • the frontal lobe may cause changes in personality, weakness in one side of the body and loss of smell
  • the temporal lobe may cause forgetfulness, language problems (aphasia) and seizures
  • the parietal lobe may cause aphasia and numbness or weakness in one side of the body
  • the occipital lobe may cause loss of vision on one side
  • the cerebellum may cause a loss of co-ordination, flickering of the eyes, vomiting and a stiff neck
  • the brain stem may cause unsteadiness and difficulty walking, facial weakness, double vision, and difficulty speaking (dysarthria) and swallowing (dysphagia)

Causes of a malignancy

Most malignancy are caused by a deformed cell that started somewhere else in the body and spread to the brain, through the bloodstream. These are known as secondary malignancy

Deformed cells that can spread to the brain include lung breast,  bowel and melanoma malignancy

Some primary malignancy are caused by a previously benign brain deformity , but usually the exact reason why a primary malignancy develops is unknown.

Who’s most at risk?

Some of the things that can increase your risk of brain tumors are outlined below.

Age

Brain malignancy affect people of all ages, including children, but the risk tends to increase as you get older. Most deformity affect people over 50 years of age.

Family history

People with a family history of brain malignancy may be at a slightly increased risk of developing a brain deformity themselves.

Radiotherapy

If your brain is exposed to radiation during radiotherapy, your risk of developing certain types of brain deformity later on is increased.

Genetic conditions

Some genetic conditions can increase your risk of a brain deformity, such as:

PROTOCOL

(brain, malignant)

Enzyme Deficiency – Protein Malfunction – Easy Fixes

Protein architecture is the key to gene function. The specific amino acid sequence determines the general shape, binding properties, and reactivity of the protein.

Mutations in DNA result in changes in the sequence of amino acids of a protein (its primary structure). Thus, mutations may lead to changes in the way a protein functions and can become the molecular cause of Sickle Cell Anemia

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is a type of amino acid metabolism disorder. It is very rare, inherited in most cases. If you have it, your body can’t process part of a protein called phenylalanine (Phe). Phe is in almost all foods. If your Phe level gets too high, it can damage your brain and cause severe intellectual disability. All babies born in U.S. hospitals must now have a screening test for PKU. This makes it easier to diagnose and treat the problem early.

NOTE: Adults can develop PKU after 40, mostly after enzyme or hormonal disruption caused by emotional or physical stress and close to menopause

PKU is caused by mutations in the gene that helps make an enzyme called phenylalanine hydroxylase (pronounced fen-l-AL-uh-neen hahy-DROK-suh-leys), or PAH. This enzyme is needed to convert the amino acid phenylalanine into other substances the body needs. When this gene, known as the PAH gene, is defective, the body cannot break down phenylalanine.

Amino acids help build protein, but phenylalanine can cause harm when it builds up in a person’s body. In particular, nerve cells in the brain are sensitive to phenylalanine.

Protein is an important nutrient that is key to every cell in your body. Your body needs protein to build and repair tissues — and to make enzymes and hormones. Healthy bones, blood, hair, nails and muscles all rely on protein and since our bodies can’t store it, we must get high quality protein from our food.

But, are you digesting your protein? Most people are not digesting the protein in their diets, which can lead to a range of problems from a buildup of toxins, aging, weight gain/loss and lowered immunity.

signs

Symptoms include:

  • Behavioral or social problems
  • Seizures, shaking, or jerking movements in the arms and legs
  • Stunted or slow growth
  • Skin rashes, like eczema
  • A musty odor in urine, breath, or skin that is a result of the extra phenylalanine in the body
  • Fair skin and blue eyes, due to the body’s failure to transform phenylalanine into melanin, the pigment responsible for a person’s coloring
  • Abdominal pain
  • Brain Fog
  • Mood Swings
  • Headache
  • Heartburn
  • Joint, Myofascial pain
  • Trouble digesting fatty foods
  • SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth)

When your body can not absorb protein  there is a good chance you have a leaky gut as well. In order to repair this malfunction we need to force the hydrochlopic acid (HLC) to activate Pepsin to work in ratio higher than Ph2
